Saharan bovid

The population of these white antelopes has come down to just 300 over a few generations. The animals wander around the Tin Toumma region of Niger and the Sahara deserts of northern Africa. Illegal hunting is one of the biggest reasons for their extinction. These screw horn antelopes are shot to benefit from their spiral horn and splendid fur. Another cause of extinction is loss of habitat, which is the primary threat to most species.
